SAFECOMP 2008 Key Theme

The key theme of SAFECOMP 2008 is:

"Resilience of Distributed Systems and Organisations"

SAFECOMP 2008 provides a platform for researchers, practitioners and regulators to present and discuss ideas and experiences that relate to all aspects of how organisations, distributed systems, and critical infrastructures can cope with complexity and manage variations and change in order to continue to provide dependable and secure services in the face of threats and after disturbances.

SAFECOMP 2008 encourages contributions that address the challenges posed by the need to scale up methods and technologies for achieving resilience in large-scale distributed organisations and ubiquitous systems.

SAFECOMP 2008 welcomes multi-disciplinary work, and encourages in particular also contributions relating to resilient healthcare systems and e-health in addition to the traditional safety-critical industries.
